PROJECT SCOPE:

The ESPA Life Spa in the Corinthia represents the next generation of spas.

Spread over four floors it offers every possible treatment and relaxation a guest could want in the UK’s largest spa. Not surprisingly, the interior needed to reflect this environment in every detail.

Mega Marble were involved in many aspects of the development including huge amounts of detailed stone work, the use of lots of organic curves in the showers and water treatments and the combined use of stone and bespoke glass tiles.

The requirement for very large stone slabs throughout the Spa led to the technical solution of using honeycomb-backed stone panels, with 5mm stone backed with 15mm honeycomb. This created a lightweight solution that could be easily handled and fitted, whilst still achieving the effect of seeing minimal joints
